Hi!
Hello and welcome. I’m Jodun Du Puy (MA), an Art Psychotherapist and Talking Therapist based in Rotherhithe, South East London.
Taking the first steps toward therapy can feel overwhelming or confusing, so let me tell you a little about who I am, how I work, and who I support. Whether you're beginning your search or narrowing down your options know that I’m always happy to offer a free call to explore whether I might be the right fit for you.

"At City Solace Psychotherapy, I’m passionate about helping people break free from emotional challenges. With compassion, creativity, and curiosity, I walk alongside each person as they heal, grow, and uncover a more empowered, meaningful life—bringing greater joy, harmony and connection to their world."
My Path to becoming a Therapist
Creativity and supporting others have always been central to my life. After earning a BA in Sculpture and working in behavioural and social care roles, I went on to complete an MA in Art Psychotherapy. Since 2009, I’ve worked in a wide range of settings including the NHS, schools, post-adoption services, domestic violence charities, and mental health services.
My early work focused on children and families affected by attachment and developmental trauma, and has since expanded to include adults and young people. In 2024, I launched City Solace Psychotherapy to offer therapy both in person and online, grounded in the values and approach I deeply believe in.
I’m registered with the HCPC, BAAT, and BACP, hold an enhanced DBS and registered with the ICO.
How I work
My approach is warm, client-led, and integrative. It draws on using:
-
Psychoanalytic theory and Attachment theory
-
Internal Family Systems (IFS) framework
-
Psychoeducation and practical tools
-
Body connection
-
Visualisation and creativity
Though I predominately work as an Art Psychotherapist I am flexible if clients want more of a talking based therapy. You don’t need to be “creative” to benefit from Art Therapy. I can also offer themes to help guide and focus the therapy. "Art" can mean anything from making images to writing lists or simply pausing with a feeling long enough to give it shape or language.
Whether sessions are primarily talking-based or incorporate art, my aim is to create a space where you can slow down, connect with your inner experience, and give shape to emotions and thoughts. Find out more about Art Psychotherapy

Low self-esteem

City Solace Psychotherapy's Core Values
These values guide every aspect of my work:
Compassion and Understanding: Therapy begins with feeling truly seen and accepted. I provide a warm, non-judgmental space to explore grief, fear, and pain, and together we’ll uncover your story while nurturing self-compassion—an essential step in healing from fear and shame.
Curiosity and Creativity: We’re all born curious and expressive, but difficult experiences can shut these parts down. Therapy offers a safe space for curiosity and creativity to re-emerge, helping you move from judgment and avoidance toward openness, understanding, and change
Finding Light: Healing doesn’t have to be heavy. At City Solace Psychotherapy, I bring warmth, humor, and celebration of progress to create space for hope, joy, and playfulness along the journey.
Nurturing Resilience I help clients discover their strengths and values, offering tools and insights that support long-term healing. My aim is to empower people so deeply that they feel confident to continue their journey even after therapy ends.
